Celeste has always loved anything "Britain" so, naturally, she requested her birthday excursion be to London. Chris agreed and they started planning! We found some great deals on flights and hotels and then started planning around that. They decided to let me tag along on this adventure! WOOT WOOT!
We boarded an overnight flight with a layover in Frankfurt, Germany. Celeste and I giggled a little at how confusing the German language looks, but when pronounced, it's not as confusing as it first seems (at least in some cases).
We didn't have a whole lot of time to explore outside the airport, so we perused the shops inside and found some fun trinkets! It was very foggy in Frankfurt that morning, so we didn't get to see much outside the windows either, but we still had fun people watching (no pictures of that).
We boarded the plane to London and by the time we got through customs, it was dark out. We got passes for the public transit and, with backpacks and luggage in tow, decided to brave the underground. And it was rush hour. LOL That was quite the adventure! We managed to make it to our hotel and located a few things surrounding the area, then decided to sleep so we would be well rested for a full day of adventuring!
