Weighty Issue

Ok...so, according to charts and junk, I was slightly overweight before getting pregnant. Only by like 7-8 lbs, however. But just because of those measly few pounds, I'm put into the "over-weight" category. RUDE! What's even more rude is that I can only gain a maximum of 25 lbs...that's what's recommended anyway...for this pregnancy. I stepped on the scale last night, and I'd already gained 10 lbs! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?! I'm not exactly showing, morning sickness has been a beast this week, and I've gained more in 5.5 weeks than you're supposed to in the first 12 weeks! Again...RUDE! Any tips or suggestions out there? I really want this to be a healthy pregnancy, really I do, but when I see stuff like this, I don't know, I just want to give up on watching the weight situation. *sigh*

  1. How rude! Those stinkin' pounds should know better! I'll do some research and see what suggestions I can come up with. Just remember I love you no matter how you are. :)

  2. oh stop it!!! it is not like you are a lard! and seriously, i don't think people just gain 25 lbs...i know they have guidelines...but the first and foremost thing is that you take care or YOU thus taking care of ...IT! :) i will go on a diet with you when it is over! You do not really over indulge on things and even if you do it is just here or there. hahaha and your "eating disorder" will soon show it's self as the watermelon seed you swollowed previously!

just take care of yourself AND your morning sickness so that you take care of the 2 of you!!

YAY for weight gain for this reason!!! woot woot!!!

  3. I totally understand where you're coming from. What worked for me and baby #2/#3 was a chicken breast, steamed veggies and a fun salad every night. I only gained 13lbs after I started doing that. Good luck!! You'll be fine.
